Caught up with a friend who has a fish and chip shop in a regional centre near Adelaide. He mentioned that there was a general anti Rudd sentiment amongst his customers. I commented that his clientele must be from the top end of town, his response, "thats the point, they're not, it's the workers who don't like him".
I recall another fish and chip shop owner who correctly identified, to everyones horror, the hidden sentiment within the electorate.
