Why beyond you?
They have contractual obligations for the rig and it appears not enough cash or banker facilities to pay for it. That pretty much fits into a legal definition of insolvency. Directors will not want to trade whilst insolvent as illegal. Thus a real possibility of insolvency. Obviously, they can sell assets, but they might not like the price they get.
