OK - I've had a look around, but haven't found any info on how long the aMES process takes to do its thing. Once they start sucking brine, how long is it expected to take before the good stuff pops out the other end?
Evaporation ponds are a looooong process, definitely not for the impatient. If aMES is significantly quicker, it must be an advantage, though I haven't seen it listed or else I just missed it. I do realise that once the lead time for evaporation ponds has passed, it'll be a continuous process of extracting whatever it is you're after.
