You need to have a set of rules regarding your investments or at the very least give some thought to how you will operate. Picking the right stocks is only one part of investing / trading.
1. Money management is critical (what % cash, what % stocks, what % in each stock?)
2. Do you use stop losses? If so, how do you calculate them?
3. How do you evaluate your investment success?
4. If your 15k becomes 10k what will you do? What if it becomes 5k?
I strongly suggest reading lots of books about / by investors. Personally I enjoyed and got a lot of value from Peter Lynch.
