re: price prediction and follow up I think that Beattie is merely trying to placate the left factions and that mining ban will get overturned as other power brokers have a say also - just too much money to be made for pandering to left wing idealists. Moreover, if Howard can wrest the momentum back from Rudd the Feds can over turn ban in the national interest
sure makes it ineteresting though as appeared a done deal previously. Beattie has been around and knows how to play games
