re: court rules in amps favour Sorry, I had to keep it brief as I was in the middle of some last minute trading and I wanted to get the general message aross that it was good news for AMP rather than the usual bad news.
If you go to the ASX site you can see the news in more detail, but the crux of it is the Aust Agricultural company commenced a claim in the federal court about 2 weeks ago against AMP seeking an injunction against AMP to prevent the completion of sale of Stanbroke Pastoral company to Nebo Holdings on the grounds that AMP was guilty of misleading and deceptive conduct and had breached its obligation of fair dealing etc etc.
The Federal Court found in AMPs favour and has allowed the sale to proceed. This also means that AACs action for damages against AMP is not likely to proceed, nor be successful if it does so.
Therefore, share price will tend upwards rather than downwards.
