To me it says the project is moving forward, but that is all it says. They said that they chose AWS for its ability to scale with subscriber usage. That's good, it means that they are thinking about how they can provide their service using lean principals.
But, saying that they are going with AWS as a platform doesn't mean that they are ready to launch! They will probably have to redesign parts of the application so that it has the ability to scale like that. These things don't just happen and automating the deployment of any application so that it may scale in response to demand isn't that easy! In some cases it means that the entire company culture has to change to be able to successfully deploy and maintain that kind of system.

Please guys, just put the breaks on the hype train a little bit. The only thing making comments like "ready to launch globally" will bring you is disappointment when we're a month down the road with no news about Go-Live dates.
