I'm a recent (10 yrs.) convert to NRL coming from an AFL background, AFL isn't the game it once was and i perfectly understand there aren't many things that don't change over time, head high rules introduced to both codes have been necessary and i applaud them, any protection to someone's head, particularly a junior player, is warranted. having said all that i watched last night's women's state of origin...one of the greatest sporting spectacles I've seen and I'm no chicken, the endeavor, tenacity, never say die from both sides was amazing to watch, those young ladies did themselves and their states proud...AUSSIE GRIT! well done.
