Exciting times.
Just been reading up about Circle who are trying to do what we are doing, about 6 months behind, valued at $200M with recent $50M raise by Goldman Sachs. They spent $26M getting to somewhere near where we are. Their business model says free remittances (but that is in bank to bank not cash to cash) and payments but they have to set up country by country to get regulation and are probably 6-12 months off meaningful market launch. I suspect they will start including fees (either direct or FX margin) like Abra will.
But the point is we are a relative first mover here and have a chance to build market share. Once a load of people have Airpocket in there phones and are building up Unique Financial Identities (not before possible for unbanked), plenty banking products to build on top (ie microcredit, invoice financing, crowdfunding, credit cards, venture capital, equity products etc etc)
Zhenya other company specialises on Results Based Marketing in th eonline world. ie you pay them for a result, like a download or a sale etc and Alex Karis background is in marketing as well (Karis Marketing Group).
