i dunno man, i think you need to see that almost every successful tech company has stolen/borrowed ideas throughout their history, that's the way the game is played.
remember rovio? private app company with 100s of millions in revenues per year. biggest game? angry birds. essentially a complete copy of the castle destruction genre of flash games on PC with new animations/skins.
lyft? essentially an exact copy of Uber and has an implied value of $2.5b based upon a cap raising in may.
facebook? i'm sure you've seen the movie, zuckerburg just took everyone else's ideas and made them happen in a realistic time-frame.
google? was a copy of the growing number of search engines at the time, although its difference was its search algorithm (just like airpocket has a different back-end process with the blockchain, vs. abra using actual bitcoins).
samsung? there are emails between executives that were released in the apple court case which shows that they were actively trying to mimic the iphone with their original galaxy range. what was the effect of that? becoming the second biggest smartphone company in the world at the time.
and there are countless more examples - the point being that i really see no issues with DCCs strategy. tried and tested in other tech sub-sectors and works a charm.
