Thanks to all the regular posters @Konfi @CoalKing etc for your research and analysis.

On the topic of the catchphrase, pretty much every startup in the peer-to-peer economy uses the phrase "The Uber of..." in their marketing. See: http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/236456.

It's because Uber is the most successful of all peer-to-peer companies and thus makes a natural reference point to communicate the idea. Airpocket may or may not have copied Abra but it really doesn't matter. Everyone is copying the Uber model and trying to disrupt their chosen industry with it. What really matters is execution, roll out and market share. Airpocket's strategy outshines its competitors when it comes to this IMO.
