Disappointment is probably related to the time span you had the stock, if you bought it 3 years ago then I would think it would look quite good if you bought it 3 days ago it would look rather poor.
For me I started buying it 4 months ago @ 114 to 122 and hope to sell it when I am guessing Ni on the LME is at its lowest stockpile level 3 weeks from now (time will tell if that was the right strategy.
As others say you need to keep tight stop losses especially if you are in with little diversifying.
If we had known the market 8 weeks ago we would have all gone into bonds or shorting, as there is a feeling in the market that the USA is seeing the blush of death.
