If you check out the gxy (galaxy resources)website there is a brokers report from state one on the lithium market. The most interesting take aways are:
- They seem to be predicting only a 15kt increase in chinese production to 2010.
- They see the lithium carbonate market size at around 100kt at the moment, not 80kt.
What this means is two years of high-end growth (circa 20% p.a. on their forecasts) and the market will require an additional 44kt of lithium carbonate.... That is very material....
