Unbelievable !!

I am pretty sure the terms of reference for the ISP specifically excluded the possibility of off-site sources of transient BTEX traces in shallow groundwater on Cougar's site. Either that or the possibility didn't occur to the ISP experts!

Now, without a hint of embarrssment or acknowledgement of hypocracy, the Qld Govt and DERM fob this off like it is all ok because it was just some silly old farm chemicals.

Two things ...

1) I want the farmer involved (one Damien O'Sullivan if I am not mistaken) to supply daily fresh drinking and stock water to all property holders (including Cougar) in a 2km radius and to carry out a program of testing to prove that all landholders are safe from irresponsible farm practices involving likely misue of carcin0genic chemicals.

2) I also would like the Qld Govt and DERM to publish a reason why inaction is now appropriate but with Cougar, over-reaction was supposedly justified.

I trust this development will find its way into the Cougar court case.
