re: statesman up 190% / ivanhoe report BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA --- Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (NASDAQ: IVAN and TSX: IE, IE.U) announced today that testing is scheduled for its North Yowlumne #1 exploration well that has been drilled and cased to more than 13,000 feet on a 7,000-acre lease block approximately two miles north of the oil-producing Yowlumne Field in Kern County, in Southern California's oil-prolific San Joaquin Valley.

Casing and liner strings have been run and cemented over the multiple zones of possible hydrocarbon content that were encountered. The drilling rig has been released and the operator will secure a smaller rig and necessary equipment to conduct the test program, which should commence in approximately two weeks.
