I believe , but stand to be corrected that reserves can only be booked after extended production testing. I also will add that my understanding is each well has a defined surrounding area that can be used when working out the reserve and the area has not been reduced. Therefore I think this is where the difference lies , you believe one well ( Halifax ) can prove up a gross 8.8 TCf reserves , I believe Halifax will result in a resource of About 1.5 TCf maybe 2 TCf and will need extended production testing to be then booked as a reserve. So I think ICN will need to drill with BPT perhaps 3-4 wells
I would be interested to see who is correct ( I may be wrong ) perhaps you should call Chris Jamieison from bPT and ask and then call your ICN contact and confirm again
