    Hi Victorious,

I really really hope you're still around because I need to ask a stats related question too because it's been a while since I've done it!

For the case in hand, multiple regression analysis will be used to determine the degree to which one factor influences another. However, there are multiple other factors at play that I believe are MORE likely to exert influence over this factor. How can I subtract their effect from the equation?

I thought to use a correlation coefficient of R2 but that will assess how much variation in the degree of influence can be attributed to ALL the independent variables, and I need to calculate the influence of one. I honestly can't remember how this used to be managed! Surely its not just left out of the equation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated from yourself or anyone else who would like to take pity on me!

    T.
