A technique I've started following on some shares like these ...
With a largish holding, wait till there's a bit of a spike (not a trend) in the price, and sell off a fraction, making a capital loss, Then buy back in when the price retreats. This lowers the average price, admittedly at the expense of a capital loss.
This will cost you if the price keeps rising - reduced profits. It will save a bit if the price keeps dropping, but that would be a disaster anyway.
I've done this recently with INL and ENG, and a couple of times with VPE. Trouble with VPE is that the overall trend appears to be down, not flat! And no recent spikes worth mentioning ...
