Coretrack Limited (ASX code: CKK) is pleased to provide a status update on its two technologies, the GT3000 drill rig and the Core Level Recorder System (?CLRS?).

    GT3000 Drill Rig:
The Company confirms that its subsidiary, Globe Drill Pty Ltd, is currently in Karratha, Western Australia, at Woodside Energy Ltd?s drill site with its GT3000 drill rig. Globe Drill personnel are mobilising auxiliary equipment to the site and are expected to complete site safety inductions, rig and equipment inspections by Wednesday evening. Globe Drill anticipates it will commence drilling with the GT3000 as early as Thursday, 9 December 2010.

    Core Level Recorder System (CLRS):
As announced on 2 December 2010, Coretrack?s Core Level Recorder System (?CLRS?) was mobilised in an engagement with Woodside (in conjunction with the drilling service provider, Diamond Offshore Drilling, Inc. and the coring service provider, Halliburton Australia Pty Ltd) to test the full system in a well environment in respect of the Sidetrack Drill Remy- 1A CH1 well.

The CLRS was used during the Sidetrack Drill Remy- 1A CH1 coring operation. The tool interfaced well with the Woodside and Halliburton equipment and the rigging up of the tool was completed very efficiently, with minimal disruption to the coring operation.

During this trial, a technical issue relating to the data transmission was experienced. Once the issue was resolved, the Company was able to send a constant stream of information (good communications) but had run out of time to operate the rotational sensor. The coring process itself was successful, with the CLRS tool returning to the surface in good shape.
The Company is currently in discussions with the mud pulsar?s manufacturer to resolve the data transmission issues in preparation for the next run. Combined with some adjustments to the CLRS software we are confident that the next run will see the tool operate, record and return information to the surface as specified.

Coretrack CEO, Mr Nanne van ?t Riet said ?Importantly for the industry, this trial demonstrates that the CLRS is a tool that can be used in well environments without affecting the integrity of the coring operation.?
