The ironic thing, if that’s the correct term, is that the accounting error never would have been an issue if the company had not put out that monthly update in March. But needy investors wanted more news. News news news! So he puts out an update based on info given to him. Then while working on the 4C, and using a better calculator evidently, the accounting department was like “ummm so yeah, slight change...”.
