Folks,
No doubt more astute business people that the likes of myself, can understand Mr Thodey's plan to cut 6000 jobs while improving customer service.
I've seen (since the 1990s) the negative results of that specious slogan, "work smarter, not harder," too often not to be cynical.
It is generally code for: outsource a hell of a lot of jobs to the cheapest contractor in India or the Philipines after making them redundant at great cost.
I anticipate hearing a lot more subcontinental accents from people calling themselves "Dave" and "Sharon" while the level of service sinks to that consistent with such outsourcing.
After all, CAN one REALLY get more than what one pays for?
Cutting jobs while improving service?
