Mostly true, but they also export thermal coal. (i work within the coal sector in the region).
As far as the port is concerned tonnes are tonnes. But most mines in the area are predominantly met coal however some are thermal or pci and a lot of mines have dual product. Margin is far higher for met coal of course.
