A few points are being made I can agree with - but I'm starting a fresh thread to better reflect the consolidated topics away from 'rights issue' or 'test firing' that have perhaps begun to drift a little.
1. As a long termer, I was initially disappointed that the apparent best official reason for supporting the latest rights issue was supposedly to assist with the debt forgiveness arrangements - wasn't that for a lousy $1M - $2M or so - all helpful, but hardly the stuff of creating financial viability. People like myself have already made past decisions to increase our stake and be bled down to the bottom of the barrel, and it just seemed like the above reason (shareholders again raising stretched dough) smacked of being bereft with no 'Plan B'.
2. OK - the very successful test firing in the USA was really great following news, but it's unclear that a real Plan B is still in the wings. I sure hope so, and kinda guess it would be...but the doorstop question is probably how 'timely' is it?
3. Meanwhile, I am still with GiddyYup in being a tad dubious (short of another very positive 'contract' announcement) as to how much of the $6M shareholders will actually step up for (and - gulp - how long that lasts). In my case sadly (?) I have a reasonably big stake already and just can't afford to fully take up my rights entitlement, even at these prices. Despite my unquestioned card-carrying paid up membership etc support of MST - there is a little penny drop that says I need a Plan B myself - like does the absolute last 'money from a stone' few grand (and it is few) need to be kept socked away 'in case' things don't work out (shock horror) after all. Hmmm I'm probably seduced enough that I'll end up going 50:50 on the last .......!
4. OK - meanwhile I'll do what I can with the Rights, and I will certainly participate in the range viewing next week, as that will be good for the soul.
5. GiddyYup - has any other Defence stock (or just any other stock) EVER in the history of mankind come back from 0.003 with a register of billions and made it big? I'd just like to know, even if I have to hope there is a first time for everything, particularly given the special technology here. Maybe CJS is right about the need for Govt support just at this critical point - if we pull back from the brink, the show must be able to go on to great things 'without' further support?
A few points are being made I can agree with - but I'm starting...
