    steak with jus:

    in a medium saucepan simmer the following:
    2 cups water.
    1 carrot.
    1 onion.
    1 sticks celery.

    Then add:
    1.5 cup beef stock.
    ½ cup rendered beef fat.
    1 tea bag herbs or the like.
    Soy sauce.
    Liquid smoke.
    A splash of brandy.


    Thicken with corn flour.

    Serve on barbecue with egg yolk and garlic herb truffle butter if desired.
