ok watso has not had steak for a while - but in the freezer he has skippy steak and also beef steak - and watso is always open to ideas on what to do with them ...
watso's mom knew how to cook cheap (probably chuck ) steak ... watso has tried to replicate the process - but simply cannot match what mom could do with a bit of cheap meat .. she could get just the right amount of caramalizing and tenderness - and that would be the sunday offering for lunch (dad probably also knew the process - as the parents took turns to go to church on sundays .. one parent to church - the other parent preparing sunday lunch ...
mm sundays were always a very special day - lunch was always good - and so was dinner .. dinner would always be full of little treats . a lot of things on the table - and "help your self" ..
and being religious family - and prayers all the time .. watso is confident that before a good meal - a prayer would start off with "as what we are about to receive .. blah blah)
lol lol when the parents were fighting - which was often - then the prayers would be very short and also the bible reading after dinner ..
lol lol forget the muslims and their 5 prayers per day.. on a sunday - watso can count 6 prayers (and they were only the prayers at home - not including the prayers at church and mmm mm often times church was 2 times on sunday) ..
mm these days - watso is 100% atheist ..
the sunday meals that watso had in his upbringing - has never been replicated .. obviously the sunday meals were a legacy from the home country of his parents
