No tax to worry about? For who? The company would be paying for their own shares post-tax.

If you're referring to you, as a shareholder not having to worry about tax, then I question why you're trading shares at all? Let's not get income because of all the tax we're going to pay.....it's illogical.

A share buy-back would also make a takeover even more likely.

I believe the best thing MCR can do is to pump their money into new projects or aquisitions and grow the company....it's the best defence against a takeover.

Additionally, I would welcome the payment of a special dividend....why not reward your loyal shareholders? I'm not talking about anything huge here, just say a 4c special dividend on top of a 4c final dividend. That would be nice.
