China buys iron ore and sells steel.
Their talk of cutting production etc has had the effect of raising their steel price (scarcity creates value)
Less production requires less input of iron ore which pushes down the price of iron ore (over supply reduces value)
Its a very smart play by China and is counter balancing the cost of coal.
