Alexnsk,
Good question. Latest drilling results from Butre are reportedly imminent.
From the March 2011 Quarterly Report;
"A programme of 1000m Air Core drilling was completed during the Quarter. Assay results from the program have been delayed due to a problem with the quarantining of samples in Ghana. This problem has been overcome and results are expected in May 2011".
Shaw River Resources Quarterly Report March 2011
According to the company, first pass aircore drilling in 2010 returned significant manganese intersections as well as high-grade gold (+1oz/t)in an untested area of the project.
Shaw River MD, Vincent Algar, said at the time "Drilling successfully tested the main manganese horizon over 500m of strike at Jimra Bepo, returning a high-grade intersection of 2m at 32.2% Mn as part of a wide intersection of 26m at 21.2% Mn from 2m in hole BUAC013, confirming the potential of the location".
Was a great start to prospecting at Butre, with the gold intercepts a welcome bonus. Let's hope the latest assay results are just as significant.
Whenever things appear to be quiet, just keep in mind that there is plenty going on at Shaw between the Pilbara, Otjo and Butre. Daily progress being made, that will see SRR become the next globally significant manganese producer.
