There is a risk that if the ipo is overpriced it would be undersubscribed, meaning enough liquidity is required to equalise the current share price to ipo price. The montauk example proves you can ipo from jse to nasdaq at double the share price, thanks for that. I always wondered what it would look like, but I guess for it to not work it would require people to sell at a lower price than the nasdaq ipo, so it requires current investors to believe that their share price is overvalued compared to the ipo price. That belief has to vanquish all of the company promotion they would be putting out for the ipo. So it stands to reason that if no major mistakes are made , and no major problems arise from now till ipo, and we have the helium running, then Renergen can command the market for a higher share price for the ipo.
