Although your post has honest logic to it, it doesn't answer the problem if the leak is on the other side. That is, if the other party is the one accumulating.
However, I don't even believe this is insider trading, the trading pattern looks like a simple reversal on the technicals, which happens all the time on lots of different stocks leading to no announcements. Most likely a market correction.
Though I sure hope not :)
