As much as I'd hate to suggest it, sending the Fin Review article where Barry Cusack accuses the Government agencies of not doing their job properly is something that Alan Jones would probably love to get his teeth into. There are a few angles - 1. why aren't Australian stockholders interests not being looked after as required by the agencies 2. what sort of evidence does ASIC need to confirm there was no collusion? 3. Is the Australian taxpayer getting value for money in funding ASIC and 4. How much money does the Australian public lose out through lower capital gains tax due to lowball takeover offers that aren't properly scrutinised?
