Around 100,000 Commonwealth Bank customers who pre-registered for its new buy now, pay later product StepPay will be able to load the new card into their digital wallets from today , as CBA tries to stop customers fleeing to Afterpay, PayPal and Zip.
Their are 4 million potential CBA's customers eligible to use this StepPay product.
I am wondering whether StepPay was the pilot program they talked about with a Big 4 bank. The CC digital product is already being utilized by Afterpay (through Probe Group) to communicate with their customers who are late on their payments so maybe a perfect fit.
