If you read the info from the following link, particularly the bottom section you will see that this national park has been in the wind for some time. You will also see that the traditional owners do own the land and have a very strong say in what goes on there. IK has been bringing to our attention the Co's excellent relationship with these traditional owners for a long time now and very recently had a positive site meeting with them. Maybe Calcifer, who have not enjoyed any sort of decent relationship with the traditional owners, have just had it pointed out to them that the land is zoned for national park and tagged as "sterile". Hence the out of court settlement. Perhaps very soon we will find that all is not lost afterall. Just a little food for thought.
