The experts are on both sides, the so called property gurus who have written books or have hot tipping newsletters. Most are journos and come up with crazy ideas (one I read said she bought properties off the internet no need to visit)The doom and gloom stories always grab attention and once again many of the authors are academics or journos with no experience in the game. The other big problem is those in the game will spruik their own story. In the coming weeks you will see stories in press about what suburbs will boom in 2012. No guessing that agents operating in an area will pick that area as next hot spot. So what to do. Read everything, listen to every opinion and then ignore it and do what you were going to do anyway.
