Who'd heard of the term 'deleveraging' prior to 2007?
Keen coined it, now it's mainstream.
Demand brought forward by debt and gearing up suddenly disappears when we're unable or unwilling to take on more debt. If gearing levels decline the effect is multiplied.
Entirely logical theory.
