    I agree. Interest rates in Australia will not rise, they will come down. Why?

    Central banks don't lead the market, they merely follow it. The RBA was forced to backflip after raising rates leading into the GFC when they followed the market down during 2008. When house prices recovered post-GFC they raised rates again until recent months on hold (as they evaluate the severity of mortgage stress and falling house prices). So expect the RBA to backflip again and start cutting rates over coming months and years. But this is not a good sign for the housing market. It simply shows the reactive nature of central bankers as they chase the market - this time down.
