A South Korea-led consortium has won a $US40 billion ($A45.49 billion) deal to build and operate four nuclear power plants in the United Arab Emirates, the knowledge and economy ministry said.
The deal consists of a $US20 billion contract to build four nuclear power plants for the Middle East state, which will lead to another $US20 billion contract to operate them, the ministry said in a statement.
The deal marks South Korea's first export of a nuclear power plant and also its single largest overseas construction project in terms of value, it said.
