Fair enough Play2Win, my buddy went for a job at Bluescope in Perth and didn't take it cause he thought wage was too low (he was working at BSL Port Kembla & wanted a transfer) I can assure you that most at Port Kembla plant (which is another beast altogether) are paid extremely well which is why many are not accepting the voluntary redundancies which have been offered. Many of them will not get another job with such a good wage and conditions. Many have committed their wages to high debt levels and cannot afford a drop in pay. Many of the smart ones have already taken redundancy and left cause they were not in this predicament and could find employment easily. Why Bluescope didn't tap people on the shoulder and say thanks for your time is beyond me. Now they are involved in playing games with the unions and have a bunch of people who won't voluntarily go. A complete debarcle.
