There is a lot of housing owned and managed for tenants.
There are many Australian corporate groups, enough remain slack at managing and maintaining their corporate properties.
The Commonwealth provides a lot of funds to state and territory governments, supposedly to "assist" Indigeous corporate property owners.
Unfortunately many of them are exempted, or just ignored, rather then ensuring they satisfy the various state and territory tenancy legislations., the governents rarely address and ensure the legislations and regulations ensure they manage and maintaiin all their rental properties.
It is particularly difficult within the NT as the Commonwealth still does not required the NT Corporate Land Trusts and Owners are not required to satisfy the usual standards for property owners for maintenance of housing, buildings and tenancies...
In the NT the Corporate Land Trusts and Land Councils do very little to maintain or repair buildings...
