I also like it for the long term. One surprise : why they do not apply their tech expertise to Australian equities ? Of course, I know that the size of Australian tech equity market is very different to the size of the US tech equity market. However, it does not prevent them from creating a LIC focused on Australian tech stocks. Such a product, focused on a limited number of high conviction calls would probably interest a lot of retail domestic investors. They could also address a larger Australian tech equity market, if they invest pre-IPO, like other Australian fund managers (ex.Regal or Perennial).
