Hello Red, thank you for your most valuable post. I am not sure though what will replace hydrocarbons because they still have the best energy per unit weight Perhaps you have an alternative but for me oil and gas are here now and will be for the world's immediate future.
When the CEO of WPL came out against coal strem gas (refrence the Eureka Report) in favour of oil and LPG, WPO rose from around $49 or so to $54 or so. STO, ORG etc did not rise in the same proportion. Similarly neither STO or ORG have "corrected" in the same proportion. I suspect, but do not know, that the share price of WPL is manipulated by traders and that is it does not reflect the absolute value of the company.
Ignoring brokers caculations, has anyone here on Hot Copper worked out the actual value per share of WPL, if so I'd love for you to share it with us.
