onyx - sitting on a loss is something we all do, sometimes it seems everyone has sold except me!

i really recommend learning at least a little about charts, even if you just google candlestick trading and watch a few you tube videos

you may be able to then see where you should have sold and watch for the buy to come - i would at least want it to form some kind of base price before buying more - I have not been very good at averaging down and dont really recommend it - cause then you have more money tied up for longer
