lucky enough to buy in around the float, so even after the downturn have a multiple gainer, only a few of my investments have done this well.
Should I have sold at $9 or $7? Should I sell now?
Well my strategy is to invest in growing stocks and ride even steady growth, and dividends for the long term. There is capital gains tax to consider, yet the dividends are franked and I would have to find another investment. Even if I could have picked the top I am not unhappy with my holding.
However I do not want to lose my money, losing onpaper gains is painful enough!
So I apply what IMHO would be very conservative numbers. (JUST MADE UP IN MY OWN HEAD)

So FY18 eps 15 cents (they earned about 9 cents 1st Half)
Conservative pe ration 30x (conservative for company growing so fast)
So conservative value $4.50.
Should the company manage to grow at a much reduced 30%.
Then 30 x 19.5 cents value $5.85 (pe 30 IMHO becomes fair)
Should it grow at 50%
Then 30 x 22.5 cents value $6.75 (pe 30 now becomes very conservative again)
I can live with the above.
Think my figures are a sort of theoretical worst case, and I think the positive possibilities for the company live on.

Of course I think the current down turn is base on the theory that the founders sold down in order to make good before things go wrong, rather than one of the other thousand reasons that people might need cash.
Guess we will find out soon enough. Again my figures where trying to put a worse case, slowing growth, 2H lower that 1H ,etc.
