    re: valuation for dummies....extralite You have to realise, Extralite, that the “Herd on the Terrace” column in “The West Australian” isn’t true financial analysis so much as in-for-a-dig scuttlebutt, intended to give a bit of light relief.

    Neal Prior’s piece on Wednesday was the usual jocular hatchet job, which took a tilt at the announcement’s apparently over-blown presentation.

    I say “apparently” because on reflection, I can’t actually think of a better way Swiftel management could have worded the thing.

    Prior was merely taking a tilt at pomposity.

    In the same piece, however, he described Swiftel shareholders as “long-suffering”. That epithet certainly doesn’t apply to this shareholder, Mr Prior. I have been with the company since it was spun out of Roebuck Resources, which makes me “long holding”, I suppose - but very far from long suffering!
