Still no concrete news from BBX
MYSTERY surrounds what’s happening at BBX Minerals with the Brazil-focused gold explorer sending drill core from what was a visually-promising looking first hole to laboratories in both Brazil and Canada.
The company said a series of “significant and complex inconsistencies” in initial assay results for the drill hole has led the company to undertake additional and more detailed analytical and mineralogical work on the core.
BBX expects the result of this additional work to be known in the week leading up to Christmas.
Shareholders will undoubtedly remain hopeful of an early Christmas present given the initial reports on the drill core listed more than half-a-dozen occurrences of visible gold between 65m and 119m.
However, the possibility of Grinch appearing on the scene would also be worrying some given today’s announcement and the length of time the whole saga has been playing out over – with the visible gold reported nearly two months ago.
Trading in the company’s shares remains suspended.
