How would you know that your broker was doing it - or anyone else for that matter? IMO the lack of disclosure / transparency re shorting & apparent tolerance of unsettled trades & even reports of multiply selling the same stock works enormously to the advantage of shorters. What evidence is there that profits from such stock-shorting are being tracked & declared? How many prosecutions have there been in this area?
