If that is the case with silver, then indeed htf can that happen. Silver has always had the reputation of being severely manipulated.
But for holders of shares in a company? Surely, short term 'noise' only and in the long term, fundamentals have got to speak louder than the betting behaviour of crazy opportunists in the daily market.
We're supposed to be holding companies on their intrinsic value, not because gamblers are betting as to whether their fly is running up the wall or down it. Surely!
At least we still get the dividends. Earnings, assets, profits, etc have got to be somewhere in this mix.
