Have not posted much over the last few years on the property forum, however i am surprised at the reaction of the people i talk to when i say i am renting compaired to a few years ago, back then it was always "when are you going to buy a place", not any more
Spoke to a property manager the other day who lives in the same resort as us, brought 4 years ago, unit down $150000 and paying $500 a month body corp.
Tennis Mate has a place which he has been trying to sell for nearly 2 years. got caught up in the so called boom times 4-5 years ago up this way.
Saw in the local paper a week ago that things were picking up in the property market, front page of course. once you read the full article you realised that it was the morgagee sales that were being picked up for bugger all.
I know renting is not for everyone , but after owning and living in many houses over the years, it suits all our needs at this time., Having 2 pools and 2 tennis courts helps as well. Regards Bailey
