There certainly pros and cons, and I certainly understand the negatives to having property as an investment. But we have to live somewhere and I still think owning your own home is a good thing. At least if you pay it off you have somewhere to live cost free. Wouldnt like to get to 60 and still be paying $550 a week to live somewhere.
