    Certainly has pro's and con's, though sometimes alot will depend on the landlord.

    I'd have thought it depends mostly on how far down the road you are from living with Mummy, to being retired. There is no line in the sand that says that by "here" you must have bought. The only important thing is that, by the time you retire, YOU are calling the shots.

    But I will admit that being at the whim of landlords who decide to make life difficult, or sell from under you, is a massive put off for me. Couldn't handle it, have never had to.
